Strawberries are the Best
Strawberries are the best fruit for summer, sun and Wimbledon! Bring on those delicious, sweet, red mouthfuls of summer fruit.
So why do we love strawberries so much? Perhaps because the best British strawberries are only available for a relatively short time – it’s not a fruit we can really enjoy throughout the year. And perhaps we also love strawberries because it’s such an easy fruit to prepare?
We make them even easier to prepare with the Kuhn Rikon Strawberry Knife – it’s two tools in one, use one end to remove the stalk and use the fold out blade to slice the fruit. Take a closer look.
Strawberries are so versatile too. They are great on their own, on top of your breakfast cereal, or with a little sugar and cream. Strawberries are perfect with ice cream and meringues and there are also numerous recipes using strawberries, including shortcake, cookies, smoothies, ice cream, even strawberry soup and of course there’s strawberry jam. Here’s a selection of recipes from delicious. magazine, BBC Good Food and Country Living.
